Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500 launched in India

Lenovo has recently launched two new Windows 8 notebooks in India named as the IdeaPad Y500 and the IdeaPad Z500. Both the notebooks are powered by third-generation Intel Core processors and a variety of color and performance options are also included.

Starting with the IdeaPad Y500, the device is the latest in the company’s Y series notebooks and comes with complete mobile and multimedia package, as the Y series is renowned for the same. Lenovo also uses an ‘UltraBay’, simply it is an interchangeable bay which can be used to instantly swap out for dual graphics capability, increased storage space or an even for adding an additional fan for cooling.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 has a 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display and a dual layer backlit AccuType keyboard. The notebook is powered by a third generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA graphics processor, there is also an option to add up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM and 1TB HDD storage.

Moving towards the IdeaPad Z500, the notebook has the same 15.6-inch backlit LED HD display, identical to the IdeaPad Y500. The IdeaPad Z500 is powered by a third generation Intel Core i7 processor along with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 645M 2GB graphics with DirectX 11. For memory and storage, Lenovo provides up to 8GB DDR RAM and 1TB HDD storage options.
