Just a few days after its formal announcement, the Lenovo A5000 has now been listed in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The smartphone is available for purchase through the company’s online store.
The online store has started taking pre-orders and confirms that the shipments of the Lenovo A5000 will begin starting April 30.
Following the A6000, A6000 Plus and A7000, the Lenovo A5000 is the company’s newest affordable smartphone in India. The smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 chipset that has a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, Mali T760-MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB internal storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 32GB.
Especially the display panel of the smartphone has splash-proof nano coating that makes it a split resistant device.
The Lenovo A5000 sports an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash, while a 2-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front. There is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port and the smartphone has dual-SIM support with 2G as well as 3G network access.
Lenovo has provided Android 4.4 KitKat operating system on the A5000 with its Vibe UI on top. Besides, the smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 35 hours of talk time on a 2G network.
It has not been announced, the Lenovo A5000 is expected to be available through major retail stores and online portals in the coming days.
