LeEco Le 2, Le Max 2 sales hit 61,000 units in first flash sale

LeEco has announced that it has sold over 61,000 units of its Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones in the very first flash sale round in India. Both the smartphones were launched in the country earlier this month as the successors to the previous Le 1s and Le Max.

Through the flash sale, Beijing-based LeEco garnered more than Rs. 78 crore. The sale was conducted on Flipkart as well as hosted for the first time through the company’s LeMall.com to take on Xiaomi’s Mi.com.

“We are humbled to see yet another stupendous Flash Sale record in a row. The entire LeEco family is overwhelmed seeing the response from our users,” said Atul Jain, COO — Smart Electronics, LeEco India, in a statement.

LeEco claims that total registrations through both Flipkart and LeMall reached over six lakh within last eight days. The next round of flash sale will be hosted in the country on July 5 and registrations will begin starting 4 p.m. today.

The LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2 both are the company’s first smartphone models with a Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) technology to deliver a lossless audio experience, without a 3.5mm jack. The company is bundling its proprietary CDLA-powered earphones to replace the present trend.

LeEco has provided Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on the two new Le smartphones with its EUI 5.6 on top. While the Le 2 is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset with an octa-core CPU, the Le Max 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The Le Max 2 additionally comes with a 6GB RAM option to counter the OnePlus 3.

The Le 2 has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. The affordable smartphone has 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage and a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor. Further, it comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera and packs a 3,000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Le Max 2 sports a 5.7-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) resolution, up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone has a 21-megapixel primary camera sensor, 8-megapixel secondary camera sensor and a 3,100mAh battery.

The LeEco Le 2 comes at a price of Rs. 11,999, whereas the Le Max 2 is available with a starting price tag of Rs. 22,999. Both the smartphones have metal build and Dolby Atmos sound integration.
