Letv’s LeEco sold 70,000 Le 1s units in just two seconds of its first flash sale round in India on Monday. The company has now scheduled the next flash sale for February 9.
Prior to the first flash sale, LeEco received whopping 605,000 registrations through Flipkart. The LeEco Le 1s had garnered one million registrations within 24 hours of its launch.
“I am so proud of our achievement and the magic number of 70,000 in just 2 seconds which has never before been achieved by any other smartphone brand,” said Atul Jain, COO — Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, in a press statement. “I am so grateful for the trust consumers have vested in us and I am sure they’ll have a great experience in using our products.”
Registrations for the next flash sale round will commence on Flipkart starting 6 p.m. today. The company has explicitly mentioned that the previous registrations will not be rolled over. This means that you’ll need to register afresh to participate in the next flash sale round.
The Le 1s was launched in the country last month with a price tag of Rs. 10,999. It features a metal unibody design and comes equipped with a mirror-surface fingerprint sensor. Further, the smartphone has USB Type-C port and an Infrared (IR) blaster.
Competing against other affordable smartphones such as the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note and Honor 5X, the Le 1s has a 5.5-inch QHD IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 chipset that has an octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor.
The smartphone packs a 3,000mAh battery. It also comes bundled with a 24W charger that is claimed to deliver 3.5 hours of talk time on five minutes of charge.
Beijing-based LeEco has established 555 service centres in prime locations across India. In addition, it has toll-free service support.
