This device sets the foundation for a new category of smartphones by Lava that offer a great value and experience to the consumer. Design being our forte, this product has been developed with leading hardware components and specifications that integrate well with Android One. Needless to say, Google’s stamp of authority on the software coupled with the benefits of the Android One programme, this device will always stay the latest.”
The Lava Pixel V1 Android One smartphone will go on sale in white-silver and gold color options through Flipkart starting today. Also, the company is set to start selling the new smartphone through over 2,000 stores in all national and regional modern trade chains and over 65,000 multi-brand outlets across the country.
In a conversation with TechOne3, Hari Om Rai, Managing Director of Lava International, said that the Pixel V1 Android One smartphone will be soon be manufactured in India under the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
“Although the initial lot of the Pixel V1 will be shipped from a facility in China, it will soon be manufactured in India. The company would start its manufacturing at its Noida facility in the coming future,” Hari said.
Considering its specifications, the Pixel V1 is quite improved from the initial range of Android One smartphones that was launched by Google in partnership with Karbonn, Micromax and Spice.
