Intex Technologies today announced the launch of the FitRist as its first fitness tracking wristband in India. The new smart band comes with a price tag of Rs. 999 to compete against Xiaomi Mi Band.
The Intex FitRist features an OLED display that lets you view your health and fitness progress. Similar to the Mi Band, the new smart band has a built-in accelerometer to enable features like step count, distance measurement, calorie burnt and monitoring of quality of sleep.
“We have expanded our wearable segment with FitRist smart band for the fitness freak and tech-savvy youth,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, mobile business head, Intex Technologies, in a press statement.
The FitRist uses Bluetooth connectivity to let you view your progress on your Android or iOS running device. Also, it provides real-time notifications on new calls and messages directly on your wrist.
To take on the Mi Band, Intex has added an option to let you control music tracks on your smartphone directly through the wristband. You can also use the band to track your smartphone and to remotely capture photos through the camera sensor of your mobile device.
Intex claims that the FitRist can deliver you a battery life of up to 12 days on a single charge. Moreover, the band has a water-resistant and splash-proof build that comes in Dark Blue and White color options.
