Instagram now gets web embeds for embedding photos and videos on web
Facebook-acquired Instagram has now added a new feature to widen its audience as Instagram web embeds. Now Instagram has provided a support for embedding photo and video contents on any web source including blog, website or an article.
With the new Instagram web embeds, users can now publish their favourite photo or video to any web source. A new share button is now available at the right side of the content, below the comments button, on Instagram. Tapping on the share button opens up an embed code of the content. After copying the code and pasting it on any blog, website or article, which supports simple HTML input, embeds the content on the new web source.
For securing the ownership of the contents, Instagram has also added a code snippet within the embed code which adds Instagram username right on the top of the shared photo or video content. Instagram logo will also be available on the embedded contents as a hyperlinked logo which directs toward the user profile on Instagram.
Instagram recently added an option to record videos for a short span. The new feature of recording video is certain step against Vine which was acquired by Twitter last year. The Instagram video support allows users to record and share a video content of up to 15-second length. On contrary, Vine only supports recording of a video content for up to 6 seconds. Instagram Video also has several filters and effects to enhance the video contents.
