If you’re among those users who don’t want to view some random shots on their Instagram feed, you won’t need to take much stress today as things will remain unchanged. The Facebook-owned photo has assured that “nothing is changing” yet.
Earlier this month, Instagram had announced that it’s adopting an algorithm-based upgrade to show you photos and videos based on your interest. It was appeared to be a move similar to the updated Twitter timeline.
However, as many users criticised the new development, Instagram has finally revealed that it will not make any change for now and will let its users know when the update will take place in future.
“We’re listening and we assure you nothing is changing with your feed right now. We promise to let you know when changes roll out broadly,” the company tweeted on Monday evening.
Instagram hasn’t announced any details about when the new timeline update will be rolled out. But it previously planned to provide the new feature sometime in the “coming months”.
The new change indeed shows that Instagram doesn’t want to dismay its existing users. But at the same time, it seems to be a strategic move to support accounts that already started asking their followers to turn on notifications for receiving reactions on their posts.
