Instagram gets 90 million active users, 40 million photos per day

Instagram now officially gets over 90 million active users, the statement is not an assumption by any research, it is officially stated by the press center of Instagram itself. Moreover, the popular online photo-sharing and social networking interestingly hits 40 million photos per day and gets 8500 likes with 1000 comments in just a second of time.

Instagram achieves 90 million active users target!

Instagram already be in news last year due to the change adopted in the Terms of Service and due to the flaw in such terms, the online service was expected to got a decline in the number of users. But still Instagram able to achieve the 90 million active users milestone which is of course a huge gain since the service actually started in the year 2010. And the online photo-sharing service even risen by 10 percent merely in the month of December and the present January.

According to a recent report by AllThingsD, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom commenting on the growth and says;

“Instagram continues to see very strong growth around the world. With many of the product and internationalization improvements we’ve made, we’ve been excited to see these efforts resonate with users globally.”

Instagram wants to achieve a target of 100 million active users and the company also stated their aim in the month of September last year. The 90 million active users achievement is of course a large part of their aim but on the other hand, the 10 million remaining target is still to be achievable by the online photo-sharing service.

However, Instagram is enough renowned but still if one is not aware of it, ‘Instagram’ is an online photo-sharing and social networking service which enables the user to capture picture and apply a digital filter to it, the service also give an option to share the edited picture on several popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The online service is founded by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in the month of October, 2010.
