US-based InFocus enters India with launching M2 smartphone on Snapdeal

After the arrival of some key Chinese players, US-based InFocus has entered India with launching its M2 as the first smartphone. The company has partnered with e-commerce entity Snapdeal for exclusively selling the new smartphone in the country with a price tag of Rs. 4,999.

The InFocus M2 comes with a decent list of specifications that includes a 4.2 inches display with 1280 x 768 pixels (WXGA) resolution and a MediaTek MT6582 SoC with 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. Besides, there is 8GB on-board storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 64GB.

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the M2 sports an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel camera sensor is also available on the front. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port and packs a 2,010mAh battery.

The InFocus M2 has dual-SIM support with dual-standby technology and supports GSM, GPRS, EDGE and HSPA+ networks. It comes preloaded with features such as Gesture Controls, TV Direct Mode and Meitu-Beauty FX app.

InFocus reveals that all its smartphones are manufactured by Taiwanese ODM Foxconn and are designed with “highly advanced” features to reach to the masses.

The InFocus M2 is now available in India through Snapdeal is competing against Xiaomi Redmi 1S and the newly launched Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen).
