Huawei recently announced Ascend D2 at CES and now the Chinese manufacturer is expected to unveil another high-end smartphone, Ascend P2 with a 4.7-inch display. The company is also taking care of all the pocket-lovers and awaited to unveil a mid-range smartphone as Ascend P2 mini with a smaller, 4-inch display. All the two smartphones are likely to debut at MWC 2013.
According to a Chinese source, MyDrivers, the upcoming Huawei Ascend P2 is expected to have a 4.7-inch display with 1080p resolution. The Ascend P2 will be powered by a 1.8GHz K3V2 quad-core CPU and there will be 2GB of RAM for heavy multi-tasking support. The smartphone is likely to have Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box and a 13-megapixel camera along with an LED flash will be available on the rear for photography and 1080p video recording. The Ascend P2 will have 2200mAh battery which lasts for at least one whole day.
Moving towards the mini version, the Ascend P2 mini will spot a 4-inch display with 720p resolution. The Ascend P2 mini will have 1GB of RAM and the smartphone is apparently running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box. For photography, Huawei will use an 8-megapixel camera on the rear which would also support full-HD (1080p) video recording as well. There is no information on the processor but we presume that the processor will at least have two cores with 1.5GHz clock-speed.
Of course, pricing and availability on the Ascend P2 and the Ascend P2 mini will announce after both the smartphones officially announced by the company, so stay tuned for more details.
