Huawei today launched its P9 in India with a price tag of Rs. 39,999. The new flagship smartphone sports a unique dual-camera setup, backed by German camera maker Leica.
Targeted at the premium-end smartphone market segment, the Huawei P9 is a collaborative development by the Chinese smartphone giant and Leica to deliver an enhanced image-taking experience. The smartphone has the dual-camera system offers you superior detail, depth and color production. While one of the camera sensors produces RGB results, the other sensor gives monochromatic results. This setup jointly enhances the results in low-light conditions. Further, there is hybrid focus technology that uses laser, depth calculation and contrast to sharpen your shots.
You can capture your memorable photos in three different film modes: Standard, Vivid Colors and Smooth Colors. Additionally, the smartphone has a monochrome mode to let you take some of the impressive black and white images.
Hardware-wise, the Huawei P9 has a 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution and a 64-bit Kirin 955 chipset with a 2.5GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD card. Also, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera sensor.
Huawei has provided Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on the P9 with its EMUI 4.1 on top. The smartphone packs a 3,000mAh battery and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor. Besides, it has 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB Type-C port.

The Huawei P9 will be available for purchase in India starting August 18. The Chinese company has also announced its MateBook and TalkBand 3 that both will be launched in the coming future.
