Huawei today expanded its Honor series by launching the Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3 in India. All the new Honor smartphones come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and the company’s proprietary Emotion UI.
While the Honor 8 emerges as the newest flagship offering by Huawei, the Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3 are targeted at customers who are looking for some new options under Rs. 20,000 price bracket. Thus, the Honor 8 comes at a price of Rs. 29,999, whereas the Honor 8 Smart is priced at Rs. 19,999 and the Honor Holly 3 will be available for Rs. 9,999.
Huawei has provided a metal build on the Honor 8 and dual-lens camera system that was first featured on the P9 earlier this year. The dual-lens technology uses an RGB and a monochrome lens to capture vivid colors and enhances contrast. Also, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera sensor.
The Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. Under the hood, it has a 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset with an octa-core CPU and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The Honor smartphone also has 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage.
Similar to the Honor 8, the Huawei Honor 8 Smart has a 5.2-inch display and 3,000mAh battery. On the distinguished part, the affordable smartphone has a Kirin 650 chipset and a single, 13-megapixel rear camera sensor
The Honor Holly 3 also comes in the new range with a 5.5-inch FHD display, 13-megapixel primary camera sensor and 3,100mAh battery. Huawei revealed that the Honor Holly 3 is its first “Made in India” smartphone.
Alongside bringing its new smartphones, Huawei has announced the expansion of its distribution network. The company is set to partner with more than 50,000 retail outlets by the end of this year, including over 350 existing distributors.
