Huawei has officially launched the Honor 5C in India as its new affordable smartphone. The new model comes with a price tag of Rs. 10,999.
The Huawei Honor 5C is the company’s first smartphone to have 16nm HiSilicon Kirin 650 chipset, which is claimed to be the “fastest processor” in its range. The chip has four cores of Cortex-A53 at 2GHz and four another cores at 1.7GHz. Additionally, there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage.
For capturing images, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. It comes preloaded with SmartImage 3.0 image processor that enables various filters and shooting modes.
The smartphone has a 5.2-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion UI 4.1 on top.
Huawei has provided an aircraft-grade aluminium body with an integrated speaker box and smart power amplifier. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor and a proprietary battery saver technology to reduce power consumption by 70 percent.
The new Honor smartphone packs a non-removable 3,000mAh battery and has connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microUSB port. Besides, there is 4G LTE support to deliver high-speed data access.

“After the success of Honor 5X earlier this year, we are excited to introduce Honor 5C in the Indian market, and we are hopeful that we would continue to receive a great response from our consumers,” said Allen Wang, consumer business group, Huawei India, in a statement.
The Huawei Honor 5C will be available in three color options (gold, silver and grey) starting June 30. Its open sale will begin through Flipkart.
