HTC unveils DROID DNA for Verizon, comes with 1080p 5-inch display

HTC recently unveiled DROID DNA smartphone in a special Verizon event at New York, the smartphone is specifically made for Verizon network only.

HTC DROID DNA shares almost same specs of previously announced HTC Butterfly J, the smartphone features a 5-inch S-LCD3 display with full HD (1080p) resolution. HTC uses a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and it packs with a 1.5GHz quad-core Krait processor along with Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM.

HTC DROID DNA has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash on the rear and the camera also supports video recording with up to 1080pixel resolution. There is a front 2MP camera present on the smartphone as well. For connectivity, the smartphone has LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS support. The DROID DNA has a 16GB internal storage but on the downside, there is no slot to expand the storage. The smartphone comes with Beats Audio integration and there is a 2.55-volt, built-in headset amplifier and dedicated amp for the external rear-speaker which results in crystal clear sound output.

The DROID DNA comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and the Taiwanese manufacturer uses HTC Sense 4+ UI to enhance the interface of the smartphone. The smartphone measures 9.73mm thick body design with 138g weight.

HTC DROID DNA will hit all the Verizon’s official stores on November 21 with the 2 years contract price of $200 (Rs.11K approx.). Verizon also started taking pre-orders for the smartphone. We assume that HTC will going to launch a smartphone with similar specs for the worldwide market as well in the near future, stay tuned for update.
