However, HTC is working hard on the flagship smartphone HTC One but the Taiwanese manufacturer is also soon coming up with two new mid-range smartphones. The new smartphones are rumoured as Desire P and Desire Q, the specifications of both the smartphones are also leaked along with the promo pictures at a Taiwanese forum, Android4Taiwan.
The HTC Desire P will have identical designing as the Desire SV and featuring a 4.3-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) resolution. The smartphone will have an 8-megapixel camera on the rear along with an LED flash and a front-facing camera will also be available for VoIP and video conferencing support.
The Desire P smartphone will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes in Ruby and Pearl White color options. A microSD card is also available for expanding the storage and the smartphone also have Beats Audio integration. Rest of the specifications would be the same as the Desire SV. The Desire P is expected to run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box and feature HTC Sense UI on top of it. The Desire P is likely to be a regional model, available on in China region with the purported price of $365 approx.
The other one in the leaked series is the Desire Q, which resembles as the Desire U. The Desire Q smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA display and Beats Audio integration. The source does not specify more details on the Desire Q, however, we presume that the smartphone would have a 1GHz single-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box. The Desire Q smartphone will be available in Black, White and Red color options and Taiwan will be the first market to get the smartphone with the expected price of $235.
There is no information available on the availability of the Desire P and the Desire Q smartphones in other markets. We assume that HTC would launch these smartphones in several other markets as well in the coming months to earn some market shares from such mid-range players.
