HTC has just officially launched the HTC Desire 626G+ Dual SIM smartphone in India. With a price tag of Rs. 16,900, the new mid-range smartphone offers a 5-inch HD display.

The HTC Desire 626G+ Dual SIM seems to be the Indian version of the Desire 626 that the company launched in Taiwan earlier this year. The smartphone has a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expanding the built-in storage up to 32GB.

HTC has provided Android 4.4 KitKat operating system on the Desire 626G+ with its Sense UI on top. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel BSI camera sensor on the rear along with f/2.2 aperture lens and an LED flash. In addition, a 5-megapixel BSI camera sensor with f/2.8 aperture lens is available on the front with 1080p video recording support.

The Desire 626G+ Dual SIM has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port and packs a non-removable 2,000mAh Li-Polymer battery.

Unlike the 4G LTE support on the Desire 626, the Desire 626G+ Dual SIM has dual-SIM support along with 2G and 3G network access.

Commenting on the launch, Faisal Siddiqui, President, South Asia, HTC, said:

“We are excited to share with our customers about the HTC Desire 626G+ Dual SIM, a truly capable high-speed mobile experience for all.”

The HTC Desire 626G+ Dual SIM will be available in India through major retail stores and online marketplaces in Blue Lagoon and White Birch color options.
