As expected, HTC has announced Butterfly S with some tweaks and new features over the earlier HTC Butterfly. The company has unveiled the all new HTC Butterfly S at a press event in Taiwan. The Butterfly S features a 5-inch full-HD (1080p) Super LCD 3 display and there are some tweaks available in the new smartphone which makes it identical to the flagship HTC One.
HTC Butterfly S runs on the latest Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box and there is Sense 5 UI on the top. The smartphone has BoomSound stereophonic speakers at the front. The Butterfly S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip with quad-core 1.9GHz CPU. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion up to 64GB. The smartphone has an Ultrapixel camera sensor on the rear and a 2.1-megapixel camera is available on the front with wide-angle lens for video conference. Being running with Sense 5 UI, there are some features as Zoe, BlinkFeed and video highlights pre-installed out of the box.
On the connectivity part, the Butterfly S has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, A-GPS and a microUSB port. HTC Butterfly S will be available in multiple color options as red, white, gray and black. On the most impressive part, the Butterfly S packs with a massive 3200mAh battery which is claimed to provide 3.5 days of continuous music playback, while the earlier HTC Butterfly has only 2020mAh capacity.
