Google Maps for Android gets Hindi voice navigation support

Google hasĀ released an update forĀ its Maps app for Android. The updated Google Maps for Android comes with voice navigation in Hindi to provide localise support in India.

Following the recent release to please its Indian users, Google has released its Maps app for Android version 8.3 to provide voice navigation in Hindi language. This new effort made by the search giant will allow over 400 million Hindi speaking users to get voice navigation as well as the entire interface in their own language.

Users are required to change their language preference to get voice navigation in Hindi. For this, they need to go through Settings > Language and input and choose Hindi.

Apart from Hindi voice navigation, the updated Google Maps for Android comes with an improved navigation notifications on Android Wear devices. The updated app also built with several bug fixes to give users an improved experience over its earlier version.

Users can update Google Maps on their Android devices by visiting Google Play Store.
