Google’s Ingress augmented reality game to open for all from December 14

Google released Ingress back in November last year as its first-ever augmented reality game for Android and today, Niantic team announced that the game is set to be available for all, without any invitation, from December 14. Ingress initially released in beta stage and needs an invitation to join the action but soon users will able to play the game easily on their Android devices, even with no invitation.

Ingress now sets to leave beta tag from December 14

Ingress, originally developed by Niantic Labs at Google, sets to cross a milestone this year. The game will leave the beta tag from December 14 and Niantic team is also dropping the invitation code requirement which will add more players. To praise the beta testers across the world, Ingress will offer special one-time badge – The Founder Medal. Agents who reach Level 5 by December 14 will be qualified to earn the badge.

Ingress game will also feature a new challenge as The Ingress Elite V which starts from today and remain in the gameplay till December 14. The game is currently serving worldwide 9-week, 39-city global player event Operation 13MAGNUS.
