One of the Chinese vendor, Gionee is set to launch its new flagship smartphone as Gionee Elife E6. While the official announcement is expected to take place on July 10, a leaked picture surfaced online with details on specifications.
According to a report by VR-Zone, the upcoming Gionee Elife E6 is expected to have a price tag of Rs.18K-20K. As per the leaked specifications, the smartphone has a 5-inch 1080p Retina display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box. For processing, there is a MediaTek MT6589T chipset with 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the imagine part, there is a 5-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel BSI sensor on the rear along with an LED flash. The smartphone features 8mm thickness and packs with a 2000mAh battery.
Considering the leaked picture, the upcoming Gionee Elife E6 has an all new designing than the earlier smartphones in the lineup. Three Android keys are available at the bottom of the display. Gionee Elife E6 will give a tough competition to the upcoming Micromax Canvas 4 and Karbonn Titanium S6.
Gionee is holding a press event in Beijing on July 10 where it is expected to unveil the Elife E6 as the new flagship smartphone. However, availability is yet to be announced by the company but it is speculated that the smartphone is designed for some emerging markets including India, China and Thailand.
