Fujifilm India has recently announced ‘Indian Photography League’ contest in the country. The company has called all the photography enthusiasts to come and contribute their photographs on the monthly themes, the selected participants will be awarded with a number of awards.
The photographs captured on the basis of themes should have to show the essence of India in its entirety and are based on places, seasons, festivals, sports and food. The selected photographs from the submission will be published in the annual calendar of the company which will be launched by the photography giant at end of 2013. A number of participants will also be awarded on the basis of their photographs, no matter whether they are professional photographers or amateurs.
On announcing the Indian Photography League, Sriwant Wariz, National Marketing Head, Fujifilm India said;
“Promoting Photography as a talent and engaging with amateursis the aim of Fujifilm Indian Social Media. Therefore, along with our agency we have coined this activity for the entire year. We have been fortunate to witness Mahakumbh this year which is one stop destination for Photographers. Therefore the month of February has been kept for pictures around Mahakumbh. We look forward for promoting the budding talent through Digital medium”.
All the interested participants can access the themes from Fujifilm India Facebook page and participants have to take photographs accordingly to win the awards.
According to the press release, the Photography League is annual integrated social media and digital campaign that is being promoted with contests and engagement activities monthly across all major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc. The Facebook page of the company have more than 1.4 lac fans and on twitter there are more than 600 active followers till now.
