Facebook’s Rooms updated with ability to let users add photos, videos to comments

Facebook has released an update for its Rooms app on iOS with a major change that allows users to add photos and videos to their comments. The app was originally released in October last year and is available for free download in India since last November.

The updated Rooms for iOS (version 1.4) has the ability to let users add photos and videos to their comments. Although the app originally enabled the option to share photos, videos and notes with other users, it now provides a way to express emotions through photos and videos in comments.

Apart from the major new change, the updated Rooms app lets moderators to pin posts and unban people in their rooms. The updated app also brings a quicker scrolling support for viewing posts in room.

The updated Rooms for iOS is now available on Apple App Store. The app is 15.3MB in size and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running on at least iOS 7.0.

Facebook’s Rooms provides users a discussion platform where they can create a room, choose a particular topic and customise the look and feel to start discussing. Also, users can choose a different nickname for each room to hide their actual identity.
