Canon EOS 1300D with Wi-Fi and NFC support launched in India for Rs. 29,995

Canon today expanded its range of DSLRs with the launch of the EOS 1300D in India. The new entry-level DSLR camera comes with a price tag of Rs. 29,995.

The Canon EOS 1300D is the successor to the previously launched EOS 1200D. It comes as the company’s first entry-level EOS model with Wi-Fi and NFC support.

“We are thrilled to launch the EOS 1300D – a DSLR camera with inbuilt Wi-Fi & NFC,” said Andrew Koh, vice president of consumer imaging and information centre, Canon India, in a statement. “The EOS 1300D creates great looking images and allows instantaneously sharing them as well – thus meeting the requirements of first-time users, social media junkies and hobbyists alike.”

Canon EOS 1300D brings latest entry-level DSLR experience to India

The presence of Wi-Fi and NFC support enables the EOS 1300D to wireless share content. This helps you instantly share your photos and videos to your smartphone or tablet by using the Canon Camera Connect app.

Similar to the EOS 1200D and 700D, the Canon EOS 1300D features an 18-megapixel APS-C size CMOS image sensor with a sensitivity range between ISO 100 and ISO 12,800. The camera has a DIGIC 4+ image processor that enables continues shooting speed of up to 3fps. Further, there is nine autofocus (AF) point system along with AI Servo AF mode to track and focus on moving subjects.

Canon has provided 1080p (full-HD) video recording support with up to 30fps frame rate. The camera also has a 3-inch LCD monitor with 920k dot resolution in addition to a built-in viewfinder.

The EOS 1300D comes preloaded with five filters, namely soft focus, grainy black and white, toy camera effect, fish-eye effect and miniature effect. In addition, there are shooting modes with preset settings to ease your photography experience in case you aren’t much friendly with manual settings.

The Canon EOS 1300D will be available for purchase in India starting April this year. It will come with the EF-S 18-55 IS II kit lens. But you can opt for a double zoom variant with the EF-S 18-55 IS II & EF-S 55-250 IS II lenses by spending Rs. 38,995.
