With the all new brand name as BlackBerry from the older RIM, the company has officially unveiled the all new BlackBerry 10 OS based BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10. While the BlackBerry Z10 is a full-touch smartphone, the BlackBerry Q10 has a QWERTY keyboard along with a touch-screen display. With all new experience and fresh operating system, both the smartphones have all the sharp aspects to beat the competition.
Starting with the all new BlackBerry Z10, the smartphone has 4.2-inch display with 1280 x 768 pixels (WXGA) resolution and 356ppi pixel density. The BlackBerry Z10 is powered by a dual-core Krait CPU with the clock-speed of 1.5GHz, there is 2GB of RAM which soothes multi-tasking with all new BlackBerry 10 OS. The all new BlackBerry Z10 has 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card support.
In terms of photography, the company uses an 8-megapixel sensor along with an LED flash, there is a Time Shift camera feature also present on the smartphone which enhances the camera capabilities and of course the camera also supports full-HD (1080p) video recording as well. There is a 2MP camera available on the front, which is also capable of recording videos at 720p (HD) resolution.
For connectivity, the BlackBerry Z10 has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, NFC and microUSB port. LTE support is also present on the BlackBerry Z10 with five frequency bands as 700/850/1700/1900/2100 MHz, for other unsupported regions, there is HSDPA/GPRS also present for data connectivity.
Well, the specifications of the BlackBerry Z10 are undoubtedly makes the smartphone a high-end smartphone butif touchscreen is not your choice then BlackBerry of course has a solution as the all new BlackBerry Q10. The BlackBerry Q10 is the first smartphone based on BlackBerry 10 OS with a physical keyboard.
The smartphone has a 3.1-inch square AMOLED display with 720 x 720 pixels resolution and 330ppi pixel density. Well, square display concept is of course new for a smartphone and BlackBerry also enables a touch support within the display to make all the operations more easy.
The all new BlackBerry Q10 is powered by the same, 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. BlackBerry uses stainless steel frame to make the BlackBerry Q10 a strong smartphone and the rear has luxurious design finished material which is also said to be stronger than the plastic.
