Asus Fonepad review: Phone absorbs in Tablet

Its Camera

Asus Fonepad features a 3.1-megapixel camera sensor on the rear with auto-focus. A 1.2-megapixel camera is available on the front. In certain regions, the Fonepad only has a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera but in India, the tablet features two cameras. The front camera is decent for video conference and chatting purposes. The rear camera has auto-focus and macro support which allows to take some nice pictures. There is no LED flash available on the rear for taking night shots. The UI of camera app is quite similar to stock Android UI. There is a toggle for toggling between front and rear cameras, shutter key and a switch to switch between video recording and still photography. The rear camera also supports 720p (HD) video recording which is quite jerky at HD resolution, however, the VGA recording is fair enough.

We have tested some camera capabilities of Asus Fonepad. The camera works nicely considering the price, the auto-focus lock takes a bit time but it also capable of taking some macro shots. There is some blurriness found in closeup shots even with an auto-focus camera which disappoints but still the camera is best in the competition.

Overall, the Fonepad featuring fair capabiliities. The video recording is however not the perfect but still nice considering the other competitors. The lag of flash light of course disables the ability to take night shots. Now turn to the next page to know about our in-depth study on Asus Fonepad.
