Apple iPhone 5 is losing the shine due to the arrival of fresh Android smartphones in the market but the Cupertino manufacturer has of course regime to regain in the smartphones market. And the plans of the upcoming Apple iPhone 5S could already sketched. But the next generation iPhone 5S would come up in the market during the peak summer, in the month of June or July of the present year along with the buzzed cheaper iPhone.
An analyst at RBC Capital Markets, Amit Daryanani has recently released a research report which predicts that Apple iPhone 5S and the cheaper iPhone will be launched in the month of June or July, during the second quarter of the year 2013. The research report citing market chain checks as a basis for predicting the launch schedule of the upcoming iPhones.
The report also suggests that the cheaper, or we can say that the pocket-friendly iPhone will have a plastic construction rather than an aluminium design for the build. To cut the cost, the report also claimed that the cheaper iPhone will lack the ‘Retina’ display which is the renowned integration available in all the premium Apple devices.
According to Mac Rumors, Daryanani’s report says;
“Our supply-chain checks indicate that AAPL is working to launch multiple new phones in the June/July time-frame this year. Specifically, AAPL will launch the iPhone5s and a more affordable but lower-end iPhone at the same time, in either late CYQ2 or early Q3. The low-end iPhone will have the same 4″ form factor as the iPhone5 but will have plastic casing and no retina display. With a lower price-point, AAPL will be able to target a growing and important part of the Smartphone market (sub-$400 price-band).”
The absence of a Retina display from the cheaper iPhone will of course help the manufacturer to maintain a lower manufacturing cost but if Apple will exactly move in the same direction, as per the predicted report, the cheaper iPhone will not have the same experience as available on the present iPhone 5, even though with a same sized 4-inch display.
While the strongest competitor, Samsung is offering Super AMOLED displays in the mid-range Galaxy series smartphones, the cheaper iPhone would not gain much success as the earlier iPhones due to the absence of premium aluminium finishing and Retina display. On the other side, as the iOS has more app support than Android, the cheaper version iPhone will definitely give a cut-throat competition to all the mid-range Androids. As the pricing is still a mystery, we cannot assume the sales of the cheaper iPhone against Android smartphones available in the present market.
As we reported earlier, Apple executives are refusing all such reports and recently the company’s marketing chief, Philip Schiller has spurn the buzzes of a cheaper iPhone. Now we just have to rely on the recent report by some of the market analysts as the official confirmation is yet to be announced. Moreover, we presume that the Cupertino manufacturer will come out with the iPhone 5S in the near future, however, the cheaper iPhone would still only for the buzz world.
