Apple iPad Pro to go on sale in over 40 countries starting this week

Apple has announced that the iPad Pro will be available for purchase starting November 11. The new iPad model will go on sale in more than 40 countries across the globe, but there is no details about its launch in India.

The sale will begin through Apple’s retail stores, select carriers and Apple Authorised Resellers along with the Apple Pencil and the new Smart Keyboard. The list of countries from where the new iPad Pro will be available includes Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greenland, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, UAE, US, UK, Uruguay and US Virgin Islands.

With a starting price of $799, the iPad Pro will be available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models with 32GB and 128GB storage options. The new iPad model additionally comes in three metallic finishes including silver, gold and space gray that all make it closer to the new iPhone. The company is also in plans to make the Apple Pencil available in the markets with a price tag of $99, while the Smart Keyboard will be available for $169.

“The early response to iPad Pro from app developers and our customers has been incredible, and we’re excited to get iPad Pro into the hands of customers around the world this week,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said in a press release.

As unveiled on September 9, the Apple iPad Pro is touted to be the “most powerful iPad” with the same 64-bit A9X chip that debuted on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It runs on iOS 9 and features a 12.9-inch Retina display that has a pixel count of 5.6 million. In addition, the company claims that it delivers 10-day battery life on a single charge.

Apple has not yet revealed any details about the price and availability of the iPad Pro in India. However, it is not expected to be available in the country anytime in the coming future.
