Apple iOS 8.0.2 update coming to fix issues caused by iOS 8.0.1

A few hours after pulling out iOS 8.0.1 update, Apple has acknowledged the issues caused by the update and promised to bring iOS 8.0.2 update in the “next few days” with a fix. The company is now also giving steps to the users to reinstall iOS 8.0 to overcome the issues.

Apple has brought out a workaround for its users who lost cellular service and Touch ID functionality on the iOS devices after updating to iOS 8.0.1. This workaround will help users in downgrading their devices and to reinstall iOS 8.0.

To downgrade and reinstall iOS 8.0 on the devices which are running on iOS 8.0.1, users must need the latest version of iTunes on their Windows PC or Mac. After that, users need to connect their devices to iTunes, back up their data and content on the PC or Mac through iTunes and require to download a file that correspond their respective device from here.

Once the file is downloaded to the connected PC or Mac, users need to select the file they downloaded by pressing the Option key in Mac or by pressing the Shift key in PC and simultaneously clicking on Check for Update. Thereafter, users just have to click Update to reinstall iOS 8.0 on their device. It is worth noting here that the reinstallation will make Health app inactive but it will become active after the new update.

Moreover, Apple is working on iOS 8.0.2 to fix the issues caused by iOS 8.0.1 update. The update will be available “as soon as it’s ready in the next few days” and will be bundled with improvements and bug fixes that were available in iOS 8.0.1.
