Some users were also reported a security flaw after updating their iPhone to iOS 6.1 which evade the password from homescreen. The issue seemingly still not acknowledged by Apple which is the reason that there is no fix of security flaw is available till now.

On the other part, the heating issue on the iPhone 5 reported by some users in past is likely to overcome with the new update.
