Google releases Android Device Manager app to find lost phone or tablet
Google has released standalone Android Device Manager app for Android devices. Similar to the earlier released web version Android Device Manager, Android Device Manager app allow users to find lost Android phone or tablet.
Android Device Manager app is a standalone app compatible with the devices running on Android 2.3 or above. The app is designed to locate lost devices which are associated with a Google account. Apart from tracking the location, the app enable remotely resetting of the device and also provide an option to remotely add a PIN on screen lock. Users can also ring their misplaced devices with Android Device Manager app.
Google released web version Android Device Manager back in August. The web version is quite same in nature though the standalone app is particularly useful if the users out and about and do not have access to a computer.
