Alcatel Plus 10 comes as a Windows 10 hybrid with 4G LTE keyboard
As the Mobile World Congress (MWC) is about to begin in Barcelona, Alcatel has announced the Plus 10 as its first Windows 10 hybrid to grab some eyeballs at the exhibition. The new device features a detachable 4G LTE keyboard that can serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot and can enable fast connectivity on the go.
The Alcatel Plus 10 sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has an Intel Atom x5 Z8350 chipset with a 1.9GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The device has 32GB storage that can be expanded by up to 64GB via a microSD card.
Unlike most of the other 2-in-1 devices, the Plus 10 has the detachable keyboard to deliver high-speed data access without any additional network support. The keyboard additionally lets you mirror your 4G connection with up to 15 different devices around you, using its built-in Wi-Fi hotspot function.
The hybrid device has a 5-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera sensor. Also, it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity options, and the keyboard comes equipped with a USB port, microUSB port and a microHDMI port.
Alcatel has provided a 2,580mAh battery on the detachable keyboard while the Plus 10 packs a 5,830mAh battery. With these two battery packs, you can continuously use the device for up to eight hours.
The Alcatel Plus 10 with metallic silver, matte white, matte volcano black and warm grey leather finish will be available for purchase in Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East in June. Details about its price will be released locally.
