Bharti Airtel today expanded its footprint by launching the 4G services in Rajasthan. Initially, Airtel 4G services are rolling out in the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan to deliver high-speed internet access.
Airtel subscribers in the city can experience 4G network on their compatible 4G-enabled smartphones as well as on dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles. The telecom operator claims that its new services enable “uninterrupted” HD video streaming and “superfast” uploading and downloading of movies, music and images.
“As customers in Rajasthan show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to launch 4G services in Ajmer and take the lead in introducing customers in Rajasthan to their first ever experience of blazing 4G speeds,” says Manoj Murali, CEO — Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel, in a press statement.
Airtel is offering its 4G services at the prices of 3G data to persuade subscribers in Ajmer. In addition, it is offering free 1GB 4G data plans for its prepaid customers using 4G compatible devices on SIM swap.
“We recently launched ‘Project Leap’, our national network transformation drive, and are committed to augmenting our 4G presence to more regions across the state and deliver a compelling network experience for our customers in Rajasthan – now and in years to come,” Murali added.
Subscribers who opt for Airtel 4G can avail music and movie streaming through Wynk Music and Wynk Movies apps on their smartphones. The operator has ‘Infinity Plans’ to deliver unlimited voice calling on mobile devices in addition to bundled movies and music access with 4G connectivity.
