After the Liquid S1 and Liquid Z3, Acer is soon coming up with the Liquid S2. While there is official announcement will hit in future, the specifications of Acer Liquid S2 revealed in detail. Acer Liquid S2 would compete phablets in the market with its 6-inch full-HD display.
According to a report by tech portal Computer Base, Acer roadmap leaks which has a high-end smartphone listed as Liquid S2. As per the specifications available in the roadmap, Acer Liquid S2 will have a massive 5.98-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. Under the hood, there is a quad-core 2.3GHz processing unit, likely to be available on the Snapdragon 800 SoC, with 2GB of RAM. For storing contents, there is 16GB internal storage along with microSD card support for further expansion.
On the connectivity part, the Liquid S2 will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, NFC and a microUSB port. For networks, there is LTE and HSPA+ network support. Interestingly, the roadmap pointed out that Acer Liquid S2 will run on ‘K OS’ which would be the next-generation Android version, Android 5.0 (Key Lime Pie).
It seems that Acer is now started focusing towards smartphone market and set to give a tough competition to major manufacturers with its next phablet. However, the availability schedule of the rumoured Acer Liquid S2 is not yet revealed but the company is rumoured to come up with the official announcement in the month of August itself.
